Boxted Summer 're-run' Fly-in 2009 Saturday 19th September View Larger Map The above view from Google Maps was taken very shortly after the event in 2006. This shows the 1200m runway that was in use that year, although for 2008 and again for 2009 the extension has been returned to crop field and the runway is back to its original 600m length. It runs the length of the triangular field at the top of the photo (where you can still see vehicles) to the track the run between the fields and across the 1200m runway. This year there will be again an approx 100m displaced threshold on runway 22 (as can be seen in the photo) due to road side telegraph type power cables.
